The Cleveland County Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 21., at 6 p.m., in the county commissioners’ chamber. Items on the agenda range from recognition of Minority Enterprise Development Week to budget amendments.
The commissioners will recognize Minority Enterprise Development Week, with Richard Hooker, MED Week President who is slated to be present for the special recognition.
Other items on the agenda include the public comments portion of the meeting. The rules for public speaking require individuals who want to speak to the Board during the public comment period to register with the Clerk to the Board before the meeting begins. There will be a sign-up sheet at the door. The sign-up sheet will be available 50 minutes before the start of each meeting, but it will be collected 10 minutes prior to the start of each meeting.
Next, the consent agenda will be covered, which includes items such as budget amendments for the library, sheriff’s office, E-911 communications and the county manager’s office. Also, the county commissioners’ 2026 meeting schedule proposal calendar and landfill facility stormwater improvement project is expected to be approved by the commissioners.
For the regular agenda, the Consolidated Human Services Agency Board structure is the only item listed, after which the commissioners are expected to go into closed session.
