As The Shelby Independent grows, so will our need for coverage. This is a small operation, but big things start small. We don't have a budget to hire any staff and our sponsors just help “keep the lights on." If you are looking to build a credible reputation as a journalist to one day get a job elsewhere, then you'll need a portfolio. We might be able to publish your news articles.
