Southern Steel brings car-crunching action to Fair

Cleveland County Fair — The Southern Steel Demolition Derby brings metal crunching, engine-roaring excitement to the Cleveland County Agricultural Fair for one night only.
Be sure to catch the powerful collisions, battered cars, and nonstop thrills as drivers battle to be the last car running. The family-friendly, action-packed derby begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct.10. Demolition derby tickets are $8 for children 12 and under and $15 for adults. Advance tickets can be purchased at SeeItInShelby.com.
Gates open Saturday at 9 a.m., and admission is just $5 until noon. After noon, admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. On Sunday, the final day of the fair, gates open at 11 a.m. with $5 admission until 2 p.m.
