Staff Reports | Cleveland County Sheriff's Office

Another bomb threat plagued Cleveland County Wednesday.
On Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 3:04 p.m., the Cleveland County Clerk’s Office received a call stating a bomb was in the courthouse. The appropriate emergency personnel were notified, and the building was immediately secured, and steps were taken to evacuate the building including inmates and staff.
Emergency personnel began a thorough search of all areas of the courthouse. Nothing was located during the search, and the building was deemed clear.
A second call was made within an hour of clearing the building. Investigators from the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office have identified persons of interest and are currently looking for their whereabouts.

Even though this was found to be a false threat, the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office will
handle all calls of this nature seriously. We will conduct a full investigation in order to provide
the safety of the building and all occupants with the intentions to make an arrest.
Below are the persons of interest. Please contact the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office if you
