A morning school bus accident in Lawndale could have been much worse.
Trooper A.J. Osmer responded to the call Friday, at 7:24 a.m., not knowing what to expect when he arrived. Luckily all the children were okay.
The school bus was traveling west on E Main St / Stage Coach Trail, in Lawndale, when a red Hyundai Sonata traveling east crossed the center line and struck the school bus head-on.

There were no reports of any serious injuries on the bus, and it was unknown how many children were on the bus Friday morning at the time of the accident.
Trooper Osmer said the driver of the red Hyundai Sonata was issued a citation for driving left of center and transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
This crash is still under investigation.
