Dennis Charles Pail Sr., 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Jan. 4, 2026, in Shelby, North Carolina. He was born on Dec. 25, 1944, in Somers Point, New Jersey, to the late Alberta and Karl Pail.


Dennis dedicated a significant part of his professional life to the lawn care industry, serving as a Lawn Technician for A1 Wilson for an impressive 25 years. Prior to this role, he honed his skills as a Tile Setter for a decade, demonstrating not only his commitment to hard work but also his diverse talents.


Known for his warm personality, Dennis was loved by everyone who crossed his path. He had a remarkable ability to bring joy into the lives of those around him. His spirited nature was characterized by a penchant for humor; he often filled conversations with jokes and laughter. An unwavering supporter in times of need, Dennis was always ready to lend a hand, embodying a spirit of generosity and kindness.


Outside of his professional endeavors, Dennis enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him great pleasure. He was an avid golfer and took great interest in working on cars. However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family and friends, whose company he cherished deeply.


Dennis is survived by his daughter, Terry Westphalen and her husband David; his son, Dennis Charles Pail Jr.; his granddaughters, Courtney Vega and her husband McCally, and Crystal Brooks; and his great-grandchildren, Carter Schmidt, Carter Vega, Maiya Vega, and Phoenix Vega. These living family members will carry forward his legacy of love and laughter.

He is beloved and missed by many, including those who had the privilege of knowing him. Dennis Charles Pail Sr. leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.
