Club Car Open House at Allison Golf Cars serves up food and fun

Boiling Springs, N.C. – People gathered while music played and hot dogs sizzled on the grill this past Saturday, for the Club Car open House at Allison Golf Cars.
Their golf cars are everywhere. From driveways to fairways, concerts to corporate events, since 2009 Allison Golf Cars has been in the driver's seat, steering the wheels of change for mobility, rolling along, putting smiles on people’s faces and providing fun for the whole family.
The event, made even better by the perfect weather, brought people from all over the area, from Gaffney, S.C., over to Kings Mountain and Cherryville.
Roger Randall was there with his son, Weston, who was buying a golf car when I spoke to Roger.
“I love my golf car,” stated Randall. “I bought it here about a year and half ago. My son and daughter both live near me and it’s been great; saved me a lot of steps going back and forth to their houses, that’s for sure.”
Randall said he and his son didn’t talk about buying a golf car on Saturday, they just thought they’d come check out the event.
“We didn’t talk about – we talked about hot dogs,” he laughed. “That’s what we’re here for but looks like he’s probably buying one.”

The showroom had a nice selection of colors of new golf cars. Casey Allison, co-owner with his wife Stephanie, said colors vary year by year just like cars, depending on what’s popular, plus some nice features.
“They also have Apple CarPlay in the premium models, which the customers really like,” noted Casey.
Calvin Hastings with KTC Broadcasting was there doing a live remote while people sat around the KTC tent and enjoyed their food.
Several people went on test drives and shopped for accessories as Stephanie and Casey stayed busy throughout the event. She also spoke on how great the event turned out and everyone that showed up.
“Our AGC family showed up to support local business and we are grateful,” she said. “Now, if Calvin wouldn’t have hidden that microphone!”
Allison Golf Cars is located just south of Boiling Springs, before the Broad River Greenway, at 2102 Gaffney Rd., Shelby, NC 28152.
