Cleveland County to host free rabies vaccination clinic

SHELBY – Cleveland County Animal Services will host a free Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to 12 Noon at the Cleveland County Health Department, located at 200 S. Post Road in Shelby.
This community event is designed to help residents protect their pets and comply with North Carolina’s rabies vaccination requirements. The clinic is free for Cleveland County residents with proof of residency and $10 per animal for out-of-county residents (cash only). Services will be available for the first 1,000 animals, with a limit of four animals per vehicle.

“Rabies prevention is essential to protecting both pets and people in our community,” said Jenna Mullinax, Animal Services Director. “We encourage all pet owners to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure their animals are protected.”
