City to continue water tank maintenance

The City of Shelby announced will be performing additional water tank maintenance beginning July 28 through Aug. 1.
The city asks residents to use caution and be patient during this time, stating, “Residents are encouraged to check for possible water discoloration prior to use.”
The city also suggests running a cold water tap for 4-5 minutes or until the water clears, and postponing laundry until water is clear (usually no more than one day) is recommended.
Changes in water pressure should be reported to City of Shelby customer service at 704-484-6866.
