Cleveland Community College — CCC recognized 48 outstanding career and technical education students as the newest inductees into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during a ceremony held Monday, May 4. The students were selected for membership based on their academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to excellence in their technical education programs.
To qualify for induction into NTHS, students must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average, pursue a diploma or degree in a technical education program, and complete at least two courses within their program of study.
“Meeting the requirements for induction into the National Technical Honor Society is no small
accomplishment,” said Susan Randall, department chair of information technology and
mission critical operations, and the co-advisor of CCC’s chapter of NTHS. “Many of these
students are balancing full-time jobs, family responsibilities, and other commitments while
pursuing their education. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication, and we
look forward to seeing the impact they will make in their careers and communities.”
Since 1984, the National Technical Honor Society has honored excellence in career and
technical education at high schools, career centers, community and technical colleges, and
universities across the country. NTHS recognizes more than 50,000 new members annually
and is dedicated to empowering students to develop the technical and academic skills needed to build successful careers and strengthen the workforce.
