CC Arts Council to hold 'Big Chill Casino Night and Silent Disco' fundraiser

The Arts Council’s largest fundraiser is back on Jan. 31

The Cleveland County Arts Council proudly presents the 2026 Big Chill Casino Night and Silent Disco! Tickets are $125 per person, and the event will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 7 - 11 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club, located at 1360 E. Marion St., Shelby, N.C.

Join in on the fun and games including black jack, craps, roulette, Texas Hold 'em, and a poker tournament. Additionally, there will be a silent auction, 50/50 split raffle, and heavy hors d'oeuvres. The silent disco is a brand new component of the Big Chill this year, thanks to the sponsorship of the Shelby Hearing Center.

“A silent disco is a party where guests wear wireless headphones to listen to music allowing them to switch between multiple channels,” said Kay Young, Cleveland County Arts Council Secretary. “Participants get headphones, tune into different music streams via radio frequency, and dance to their own beat, creating a unique visual spectacle of people dancing to ‘nothing.’ You get to choose your music and control volume.”

“I look forward to the Big Chill because it brings together the people who make our work possible,” said Stephanie Pasour, Cleveland County Arts Council President and Executive Director. “As our largest fundraiser, this night is essential for the Arts Council, and I am personally inviting everyone to join us for an evening where great food, fun games, a silent auction with amazing items, and fellowship with old friends and new meet a truly meaningful cause.”
