BOILING SPRINGS – In a statement released Monday afternoon by The Boiling Springs Police Department Chief Brian DiYorio, referenced an incident that occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 17, when a pedestrian was struck by a motorist at the stoplight.
The Boiling Springs Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at E College Avenue at S Main Street on Feb. 17 at approximately 3:31pm.
"A vehicle operated by a 47-year-old female was traveling North and turning onto East College Ave while a 71-year-old male was walking in the cross walk when he was struck by the vehicle," the official statement explained. "The female driver remained on scene. The male was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
The Boiling Springs Police Department said they are conducting a thorough investigation.
At this time, no charges have been filed as the incident is still under investigation. No names were released pending an investigation. Chief DiYorio could not be reached for further comment.
