In what seemed like a bit of luck, deputies with the Cleveland County Sheriffโs Office Community Interdiction Team conducted a proactive traffic stop on Dec. 16, that resulted in the seizure of approximately ๐๐๐ย ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ก๐๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐, preventing an estimated $๐ย ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ from reaching local communities.

Deputies observed a 2024 Omada sedan traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 74 in the Kings Mountain area displaying a Mexico license plate from Sinaloa, Mexico, which was partially concealed by a tag cover. A traffic stop was initiated for the registration violation.

The driver and sole occupant was identified as ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฑ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐๐๐จ-๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ๐๐ณ, a Mexican national. ๐๐ญย ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐, CCSO is claiming that ๐ก๐ข๐ฌย ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ง.

During the stop, Cleveland County Sheriffโs Office K-9 conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and provided a positive alert. Based on probable cause, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered approximately 138 pounds of crystal methamphetamine concealed inside.

Tirado-Ramirez was arrested and charged with ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ก๐๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐. He was transported to the Cleveland County Detention Center, where he is currently being held ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ง๐.
